Soul of the Wolves is a role play site based on The Wolf Chronicles by Dorothy Hearst. This site takes place fourteen thousand years ago, at the same time as the books, but in another location, a good ways away from where the books take place. You can role play wolves in an existing pack, ravens, long-fangs, dholes, hyenas, bears, humans, Greatwolves, lone wolves, and you can create your own wolf pack with your character.

I have something important to discuss, since it has come to my attention that some people are getting angry about not being promoted.
Promotions are not based on how long someone has been a member. They are based on activity and grammar/spelling. If someone uses chat speak a lot then /usually/ we do not recommend them be promoted. Sometimes we do.. but we notice those who use proper English first...
It is true; sometimes we look over people who deserve promotions. WC is a big site and we notice those who stand out more before others at times. However, a lot of us, myself included, have been searching the site and looking at profiles, writer requests, and contributions to see if anyone can be promoted now. Some we decide to wait on, usually to see if they will become more active or if we do not think they are quite ready yet.

Here are some tips to help yourself be promoted:
-Be active... Making a lot of replies every other day looks a lot better than one reply per day...
-Add a Writer Request... we look at them often and have promoted quite a few people based on their writer requests.
-Try to have impressive characters or role play. If you can't make it long, using proper grammar and spelling is great.
-Being nice to other people... If you have said something offensive to someone directed at someone in a message/thread/or on your profile, then that doesn't show that you are considerate of others feelings or that you are rash with your actions. Try to think of how others will feel when they're reading what you're typing before pressing the "post" button.

Also, most importantly... When you deliberately ask for a promotion.. it doesn't help you get promoted.. and in most cases delays your promotion.

I hope some of you who are aiming to be promoted find this helpful.

Here's what you do:

Click EasyEdit. Then, on the toolbar, click Layout Zones. Change it to Two zones, then click save changes, and then save your profile.
Then click EasyEdit again, and change it back to One layout zone, and save. the uneditable part will... **DISAPPEAR**
